Q: What type of leaves does David Green use?
A: Real leaves or reeds that have fallen are used in our product. Different types of leaf are used including wild fig and olive. This depends on the desired effect and design of each frame. A natural dying process using suction is adopted to add a variety of colours.
Q: Can the leaf fade in colour?
A: Yes, as this is a natural real leaf or reed, some fading can occur over time. In some isolated cases leaves can partly “dissolve” in areas where there is skin contact or hair products containing alcohol are in ongoing contact with this natural material. Like a cotton shirt, cotton based acetate is porous and appreciates love and care.
Q: Can the acetate tips be bent?
A: Yes, but please have a professional optometrist dispenser attend to this. Take care as the bending is not a “linear” experience. Apply heat periodically and test the bending at each stage rather than over heat at the risk of cracking the acetate’s natural finish.
Q: Can I buy eyewear directly or on line?
A: Sorry no, we distribute solely through our appointed select optometrists and distributors. Please consult the “where do I buy” section on our website”
Q: How many of these frames have been produced?
A: We restrict production to a maximum of 100 pieces per colour worldwide.
Q: What if the item I bought is defective?
A: Thegreencompany ensures a high quality of the product when delivered. Should it happen that your eyewear has a manufacturing defect, a replacement item will be sent to you via your distributor/optometrist accordingly.
Q: What is the warranty period?
A: At least 12 months commencing from date of purchase from your optometrist– Proof of purchase is required. To register this warranty and read more about your eyewear, join our facebook family at www.facebook.com/GreenEyewear.
All frames are under warranty for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Warranty applies ONLY to manufacturing defects.
Frames are not warranted against breakage caused through normal wear and tear, incorrect frame use or mishandling, negligence, accident, or manipulation by optician, doctor, lab technician, or frame wearer.
Frames are not warranted against other damage caused by dropping of frame, pet abuse, or the continuous bending or reshaping of frame and/or temples, excessive tension applied to hinges or frame bridge, or as a result of the removal of temple tips, nose pads, or frame lenses.
All frame returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization, Inc, customer service department, or authorized sales representative. Frames must be returned in their original packaging materials to protect the frames from damage in transit during shipping process.
